TREKKING
Introductory. Involves walking for up to six hours a day and generally does
not exceed altitudes over 3000 meters. The pace is relaxed and very much
in holiday mode. These treks can be undertaken without arduous pre-trek
preparation. |

| Moderate.
Includes walking for up to six or seven hours on some days. We may trek
to altitudes exceeding 4000 meters. For these treks it is advisable to undertake
some pre-trek training. |

| Challenging.
May include walking for up to eight hours a day and at times reaching 5000
meters. Some days may include a pass crossing with up to 10 hours walking.
These treks require you to be physically fit, but are achievable by the
majority of active people. |

| Strenuous.
Involves high altitude trekking where exploratory opportunities are an integral
part of the trip. These treks go to altitudes up to 6000 meters and require
a high degree of physical fitness and a flexible attitude. Some previous
outdoors experience is recommended. |

MOUNTAINEERING |

These programs have a specific mountain climbing content. While they have
the same fitness requirements as a strenuous trek, they include additional
physical and emotional demands with tough days at high altitude. All support
and training is provided and previous mountaineering experience is not necessary.

CYCLING

Our trips are suitable for anyone who enjoys recreational cycling. We provide
high quality bikes on which we cycle for four to seven hours per day. The
accent is on independence and flexibility to enjoy the villages and local
culture. A support vehicle is on hand whenever you decide not to cycle. |

These adventures do not require vigorous physical preparation and can be
undertaken by anyone with a positive and inquiring frame of mind. They include
a variety of activities including camel riding, sailing or day walks. The
accent is on undertaking these activities as a means to enjoy the culture
and company of the peoples we visit. |

These adventures can generally be undertaken by any active person with a
love of the great outdoors. They include walking, elephant and vehicle safaris
where the accent is on appreciating the region’s natural beauty or wildlife. |
