Selecting Your Adventure

TREKKING
Introductory. Involves walking for up to six hours a day and generally does not exceed altitudes over 3000 meters. The pace is relaxed and very much in holiday mode. These treks can be undertaken without arduous pre-trek preparation.
Moderate. Includes walking for up to six or seven hours on some days. We may trek to altitudes exceeding 4000 meters. For these treks it is advisable to undertake some pre-trek training.
Challenging. May include walking for up to eight hours a day and at times reaching 5000 meters. Some days may include a pass crossing with up to 10 hours walking. These treks require you to be physically fit, but are achievable by the majority of active people.
Strenuous. Involves high altitude trekking where exploratory opportunities are an integral part of the trip. These treks go to altitudes up to 6000 meters and require a high degree of physical fitness and a flexible attitude. Some previous outdoors experience is recommended.

MOUNTAINEERING
These programs have a specific mountain climbing content. While they have the same fitness requirements as a strenuous trek, they include additional physical and emotional demands with tough days at high altitude. All support and training is provided and previous mountaineering experience is not necessary.

CYCLING ADVENTURES
TOP
Our trips are suitable for anyone who enjoys recreational cycling. We provide high quality bikes on which we cycle for four to seven hours per day. The accent is on independence and flexibility to enjoy the villages and local culture. A support vehicle is on hand whenever you decide not to cycle.

CULTURAL ADVENTURES
These adventures do not require vigorous physical preparation and can be undertaken by anyone with a positive and inquiring frame of mind. They include a variety of activities including camel riding, sailing or day walks. The accent is on undertaking these activities as a means to enjoy the culture and company of the peoples we visit.

WILDLIFE ADVENTURES
These adventures can generally be undertaken by any active person with a love of the great outdoors. They include walking, elephant and vehicle safaris where the accent is on appreciating the region’s natural beauty or wildlife.
